FIRST Lego League
Program Description
Do you have a child who would be interested in participating in a school sponsored lego league?

The East Lake High School Robotics Team will be mentoring 6th, 7th, and 8th graders at Tarpon Middle School and 4th and 5th graders at Forest Lakes Elementary School, Brooker Creek Elementary School, and Cypress Woods Elementary School in a competitive Lego League. A new LEGO League Team will be forming at Carwise Middle School.

The LEGO League uses a computer programmable LEGO Mindstorm set and is sponsored by FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). FIRST is a worldwide organization designed to promote science and technology in our educational system.

The LEGO League will be an 8-10 week program in the Fall. The children will be given specific tasks their robot needs to perform and will have an opportunity to participate in competitions. The meetings will be held after school, and a fee of $75 will be required for each participant.
