The Tempest ‘n Tampa event is ran by ELHS Robotics Boosters Inc., which is a 501(c)(3) organization established through the vision of J. Paul Wahnish, an engineer and teacher, who is dedicated to introducing today’s students to the exciting world of engineering and robotics. The majority of funding for this educational robotics event comes through the donations of businesses, foundations, and individuals. The contributions raised cover the cost of the venue and production, shipment of the field equipment, and help reduce or eliminate the cost to the high school teams so that more may participate.

Every organization contributing at a Team Sponsor level or higher will become the patron for an attending team in recognition of your donation. In addition to helping to support the teams at the robotics competition, Tempest ‘n Tampa is also offering business and educational organizations the opportunity to advertise their products and services to the community throughout the event. Exhibition booths will be available to all contributing organizations in our Sponsorship Showcase, located along the main walkway overlooking the event. Sponsorship opportunities at many different levels are available, and additional benefits are listed below. This event increases the educational opportunities for students in our own community and your participation is critical to its success.
 
Team Sponsor - $500: All sponsors will be provided an exhibition booth for their products and services. They will also be recognized in the event program as well as in advertising at the venue. In additional, each Team Sponsor will be designated as the patron of one attending team.

Bronze Sponsor - $1000: In addition to the benefits listed above, the Bronze sponsor will be recognized on the event website, event publications and communications, and on the event tee-shirts.

Silver Sponsor - $2500: Silver Sponsors receive all the previous benefits and will be further acknowledged in pre-event advertising in local newspapers and televisions channels such as WUSF, PDS-TV14 in Pinellas, and The Education Channel in Tampa.

Gold Sponsor - $5000: Gold sponsors will be listed as official event partners. Beyond the benefits of a silver sponsor, before and during the event Gold Sponsors will receive marquee advertising in front of the USF Sun Dome along Fowler Ave.
