| Engineering Program --second year with advanced curriculum to last year's freshmen and new freshmen class. --raise $35,000 for this school year. First Step Robotics, Inc. --program to mirror the previous years. --establish advanced curriculum for returning students. --introduce First Step Robotics, Inc., curriculum program nationwide utilizing Innovation First technology to all FIRST Robotic Teams and their school systems --make a large donation on behalf of First Step Robotics, Inc. (East Lake High School Robotics Boosters, Inc.) to ELHS Robotics and Pre - Engineering Programs. --seek 501 (c)(3) designation as a tax-exempt organization from the Internal Revenue Service. East Lake Robotics Team --expand lego league program with introduction of new Lego League program to additional elementary schools and middle schools. --introduce and establish Innovation First Edubot build and competition program to middle schools. |
| Pre-Engineering Program --second year began with a full sophomore class in Digital Electronics from Project Lead the Way and a new freshmen class, taking introductions to Engineering Design. --acquired a new CNC machine for next years Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) class. --we raised $35,000+ for this school year. First Step Robotics, Inc. --Summer workshops for new students has been re-written to include additional material and some changes to existing program. --an advanced curriculum utilizing the EDU-BOT has been written for returning students from last year's introductory workshop opening the door to two-a-day sessions. --introduced First Step Robotics, Inc., curriculum program nationwide utilizing Innovation First technology to all FIRST Robotics Teams and their school systems. --introduction of a Girl's Only hands-on workshop for young women, ages 12 - 15, interested in engineering fundamentals and/or technology as a career. --East Lake High School Robotics Boosters, Inc. acquired the coveted 501 (c)(3) determination as a tax-exempt organization from the Internal Revenue Service. --a large donation was made on behalf of First Step Robotics, Inc., (East Lake High School Robotics Boosters, Inc.) to ELHS Robotics and Pre-Engineering Programs. East Lake Robotics Team --expanded Lego League program to include 6 elementary school and 2 middle school Lego League teams. --established and ran a State of Florida LEgo League qualifying tournaments with 21 Lego League Teams participationg from all over Florida. --the plan to introduce and establish Innovation First Robovation build and competition program to middle schools is on the drawing board for early Fall of 2004 - 2005 school year. --started and funded two new rookie High School Robotics Teams and adopted an additional newly formed High School as a sister team. --winner of the Chairman's Award, Team Spirit Award (Denver and Orlando), and the Industrial Design Award. |
